All About Porchfest
Our mission is to bring our community together in music and creative expression in and around the City of Tonawanda.

Our vision is to bring together our community with creative expression and music.
Performences are held on neighborhood yards, porches, and business fronts, we aim to provide a platform for local musicians of all ages and experience, to showcase their talents, while also creating a space where community members can come together to celebrate our diversity and build relationships.

Porchfest began in 2007, in Ithaca, NY. Porchfest was inspired by some outdoor ukulele playing and a conversation between neighbors. There were 20 bands in their inaugural year and have since grown to more than 200.
Through the years, the popularity of Porchfest has spread, nationally and internationally. There more than 220 Porchfests in the U.S., Canada and Australia!
Tonawanda City Porchfest was first held in 2017, when like-minded community members wanted to host a free music event for our community, and we found that Porchfest helped us to develop and create on our idea. We worked with the Ithaca, Buffalo, and Niagara Falls Porchfest committees to develop an event that we felt best represented out community.

We created a basic framework for our event and each year have added elements that from feedback from community members to enhance the experience.
​
Each year we have participated in the Canal Fest of the Tonawanda's Parade, our committee and volunteers design and build a float. We always include musical guests to perform on the float.
